A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the country's largest city Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a country struggling with rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the downtown area on a Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 40-year-old media personality was confronted by a trio of assailants, with one shot at him before running away.
